| Description: | Initially Rodriguez was charged with misdemeanor public intoxication. During the arrest Sgt. Wheeler recognized items that match the description of stolen property from a vehicle burglary reported on June 11, 2012. In that report three neighbors on Tomme Street reported someone had gone through their vehicles. Only one of the neighbors reported items missing. While booking Rodriguez into the jail, Sgt. Wheeler located several xanx bars in Rodriguez’s shoes and pockets as well. After following up on the items recovered it was confirmed they were stolen. Concluding the arrest event, Sgt. Wheeler additionally charged Rodriguez with misdemeanor possess of a controlled substance (xanax) and misdemeanor burglary of a vehicle. The stolen items being; a TOMTOM GPS, AT&T Ant Bluetooth device, and STIHL sunglasses have been returned to the owner. |
