SUBMITTED BY: SCHAFFER, HEATH 0652 (AR11123698) THE DEFENDANT DID UNLAWFULLY RESIST, OBSTRUCT OR OPPOSE DEPUTY HEATH SCHAFFER OF THE CITRUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, WHO WAS THEN AND THERE IN THE LAWFUL EXECUTION OF A LEGAL DUTY, OR EXECUTION OF LEGAL PROCESS, TO WIT: ATTEMPTING TO LOCATE DEFENDANT WHITE IN THE RESIDENCE BELONGING TO THIS DEFENDANT, WITHOUT OFFERING OR DOING VIOLENCE TO THE PERSON OF SUCH OFFICER, IN VIOLATION OF FLORIDA STATE STATUTE 843.02. ON 112611 WHILE CONDUCTING AN INVESTIGATION FOR A FLEEING FELON, DISPATCH ADVISED THAT AN ANONYMOUS CALL CAME IN ADVISING THEM THAT THE SUBJECT WE WERE LOOKING FOR, MR JERONE WHITE, WAS INSIDE THE RESIDENCE LOCATED AT 4930 NORTH PINE DRIVE IN HERNANDO. UPON MAKING CONTACT WITH THE OCCUPANTS OF THAT RESIDENCE, later idENTIFIED as THE DEFENDANT, MS DENISE SCOTT, SHE WAS advised of the incident WHICH had occurred and GIVEN a description of suspect WHITE, to which she denied having any knowledge of suspect WHITE or knowing his location. defENDANT scott first REFUSED TO ALLOW A search for suspect WHITE. HOWEVER, after defENDANT scott made several trips back into the residence and conversED with family members for approxIMATELY an hour, defENDANT scott allowed entry for a room to room search OF HER RESIDENCE for suspect WHITE. It was later advised by defENDANT scott that suspect WHITE had been staying at that residence for approxIMATELY TWO weeks. After the apprehension of suspect WHITE, who was hiding in the attic, defENDANT scott was placed under arrest for obstruction by opposing and concealing a fleeing felon inside of her residence. She was handcuffed (double looked) BEHIND HER BACK, SECURED IN THE REAR SEAT OF DEPUTY SLINGERLAND'S PATROL VEHICLE and transported to THE CITRUS COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY FOR FURTHER PROCESSING.
