| Probable cause affidavit: | With the intent to defraud the issuer or person or organization providing money, goods, services or anything else of value, to wit: gasoline, use a credit card, more than two times in a six month period and/or obtains money goods or services of a value greater than $100 and without the consent of the card holder; to wit: On 01/09/14, the complainant reported to the Sheriffâs Office that someone had used her motherâs Sears credit card and amassed a debt of $7,167.80. She named the defendant as a suspect, as she had been living with the victim. On 01/21/14, I made contact with the defendant at the County Jail, where she was being held on unrelated charges. She was read Miranda and a digitally recorded interview was conducted. She stated she used the credit many times. Some of the times were with permission but many were not. As we reviewed the charges she could not remember many. She did remember the charge of $422.93 where she bought lawn equipment to satisfy a drug debt. On 01/31/14, I made contact with the victim who was adamant she never let the defendant use this credit card. She kept it in her billfold which was kept in her purse. On 02/03/14, I responded to the jail where the defendant was arrested and charged with one count of credit card fraud, bond set at $2000. |
