| Narrative: | On the above date and time, an officer of the Brooksville Police Department observed a silver Pontiac G6 parked behind a building at Tom Varn Park after the park was closed. The officer walked up to the vehicle and observed the driver, Kevin Adair, smoking what appeared to be a marijuana pipe and the officer could smell the odor of marijuana in the air when he approached the vehicle. The officer made contact with Adair and his passenger, a 16 year old female. Adair was cooperative and handed the officer the pipe and was detained. A search of the vehicle revealed a 6 pack of beer and a marijuana grinder containing a small amount of marijuana. The juvenile passenger was interviewed and advised that Adair was her boyfriend and she snuck out of the house and met him. They then smoked marijuana and drank beer at the park. Post Miranda, Adair admitted to providing the juvenile the marijuana and alcohol. The juvenile was turned over to her parents. Adair was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held at the Hernando County Jail on $1500.00 bond. |
