| Commentaries: | Comments According to official documents, Kanehen pled guilty to the crimes of Indecent Liberties and Rape of a Child 3rd Degree and was given a term of 41 months in prison. On 7-22-2005 Kanehen was invited to a party. Kanehen and others stayed over after the party and the victim who was 20 years of age awoke to find Kanehen digitally penetrating her. Kanehen left the apartment and was arrested a short time later. Kanehen admitted to this assault. On 8-30-2005 Kanehen engaged in sexual intercourse with a 14 year old female. One of the individuals at the apartment where Kanehen was at contacted family members who went to the apartment and kept Kanehen at the apartment until the police arrived. Kanehen also admitted to this assault. While in Prison Kanehen entered and completed the sex offender treatment program and will be in treatment in the community. Kanehen appears to not be invested in his supervision and treatment after being released from prison. Kanehen was violated for several violations of his supervision since his release including being in a place frequented by minors. He will be supervised by the Marysville Office of the Department of Corrections. 360-658-2150 No contact with his victims. Participate in offense related counseling programs, to include sexual deviancy and substance abuse treatment. Participate in urinalysis, breathalyzer and polygraph examinations at the direction of his Community Corrections Officer. Shall consent to home visits by his Community Corrections Officer to monitor compliance with supervision. Shall not consume, possess controlled substances except pursuant to lawfully issued prescriptions. Shall not date women nor form relationships with families who have minor children. Shall not frequent areas where minor children are known to congregate.(Parks, Pools, Playgrounds, School yards etc) Shall not initiate or prolong contact with minor children without the presence of an adult who is knowledgeable of the offense and has been approved by the supervising Community Corrections Officer. Shall not possess or consume alcohol and shall not frequent establishments where alcohol is the chief commodity for sale. Shall not remain overnight in a residence where minor children live or are spending the night Shall not seek employment or volunteer positions which place the offender in contact with or control over minor children. |
