| Comments: | LESSARD, Michael L. was recently released from custody after serving a prison sentence for Rape of a Child 1st Degree. According to official documents, Lessard raped a known 8 year-old male who he was babysitting. The victim and another male juvenile had spent the night at the home where Lessard was housesitting. The victim stated he awoke to find Lessard performing oral sex on him. The victim pretended to be asleep during the assault out of fear. Lessard then left the room and returned a short time later with a camera. He subsequently took a photograph of the nude victim. Lessard has no other documented sex convictions. However, he admitted that he prefers young boys and that he has sexually assaulted approximately 28 other young boys during the eight years leading up to his arrest. These additional victims were sexually abused in a similar manner as indicated in the current offense. Lessard declined to provide additional information on these molestations out of fear that he would be prosecuted. Additionally, Lessard reported that when he was 14 years old, he had sexual contact with his neighbor's dog on at least four occasions. He also indicated that he is attracted to both males and females that are age 9 and older. Lessard is to have no contact with the victim or other minor-age children. He is not to consume illegal drugs or alcohol. He is also not to possess or pursue pornographic material unless given prior approval by his treatment provider. Lessard will be supervised by a Community Corrections Officer for 24 months. |
