Berry targeted women driving alone in their vehicles. He used his vehicle's flashing headlights and/or emergency flashers to get the victims to stop their vehicles. Berry, who was not in uniform, identified himself as an off duty police officer and showed the victims a fake badge. He told the victims they had committed traffic violations and/or had defective vehicle equipment. Berry used a knife to force the women from their vehicle and sexually assaulted them. There were a total of four victims. |
