| Narrative: | On the above date and time, officers of the Brooksville Police Department responded to Wal-Mart in reference to a weapons disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who advised as she was parking her vehicle a white male, later identified as Ryan Sears, pulled in behind her in a silver Lincoln. Sears exited the vehicle and was holding a pipe in his hand. He was yelling at her to get out of the car and approaching her in an aggressive manner. This put the victim in fear that Sears was going to harm her and her three minor children in the vehicle. She called 911 and Sears left. An independent witness was located who gave the same account of the incident and it was caught on store surveillance cameras. Officers later made contact with Sears by a traffic stop. Post Miranda, Sears admitted to approaching the vehicle with the intent to attack the driver due to being cut off in traffic. The metal pipe was located in the vehicle. Sears was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Hernando County on $20,000.00 bond. |
