| Comments: | In 1996, Ryan J.TYAS was convicted of Rape in the Third Degree. TYAS sexually assaulted a female whom he met a day before through a mutual friend. TYAS and the victim had spent the night at the friend's residence and when the victim awoke, TYAS was sexually assaulting her. TYAS has been convicted of Burglary in the Second Degree, Theft in the Second Degree, Child Molestation in the First Degree (two counts), and some misdemeanor crimes. The Child Molestation stems from a 1989 incident where TYAS lured two children, ages 7 and 5, into his apartment where he physically and sexually assaulted them. TYAS also admitted to sexually assaulting several other children in his past, although no criminal charges have been filed in those incidents. TYAS did attend sex offender treatment twice prior to his most recent sex offense and has been deemed a high risk to re-offend. He also attended sex offender treatment after the most recent offense.
