| Comments: | In 2002, Subject MURPHY was convicted of Child Molestation in the Second Degree in Kitsap County. According to official documents, in 2001 MURPHY had sexual intercourse with a 13 year old female that he met on the internet. MURPHY told the victim that he was 19 years old, they met up and went shopping and then checked into a motel. The female''s parent learned of the incident and reported it to law enforcement. MURPHY pled guilty to the offense and was sentenced in March 2003. Also in 2001, MURPHY sexually assaulted an 8 year old non-familial female. In this incident records indicate that MURPHY fondled the victim while she was staying with a friend at MURPHY's residence. MURPHY also took the victim to a bedroom after she fell asleep on the couch and removed her clothing and fondled her again. When the victim woke up she yelled and MURPHY stopped the act, kissed the victim on the forehead and left the room. MURPHY was arrested on a warrant for this incident. MURPHY pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced in July 2002. MURPHY disclosed other incidents of sexual contact with minor females dating back to his teen years. MURPHY completed the institutional phase of the sex offender treatment program during his initial incarceration. MURPHY entered the community phase of treatment, but was terminated from treatment for violating treatment rules. It was discovered that MURPHY was engaging in similar behaviors that led to his sexual offenses. Due to MURPHY's sexual criminal history he has been classified as a LEVEL 3 Sex Offender.
