| Comments: | According to official documents, Harris pled guilty to two counts of Rape in the 3rd Degree and was given a term of 20 months in prison, suspended on condition that he do 4 months in jail and enter into Sex offender treatment and obey all of his conditions imposed by the courts on March 22, 1999. The victims in these crimes were both adult females. Harris approached his victims who were prostitutes while representing himself as a police office. He had a fake badge and portable radio with him. Both victims believed that he was a police officer and complied with his request for sex so that they would not be arrested. While on supervision again he arrested for Rape and Criminal Impersonation. The victim in this crime was also an adult and left the state so no conviction was obtained. Harris had his sentence revoked and he went to prison for his 20 month term. On 8-20-2002 a 15 year old female was returning to a teen shelter and was asking people for money. Harris was contacted by this victim and asked for money. Harris offered $50.00 for sex with this victim. The victim declined and Harris continued to offer this victim more money. The victim entered a fast food outlet and told the staff about the incident and was directed to a sex offender bulletin in the office. Harris was the person on the bulletin and the police were contacted. Harris pled guilty to Communicating with a Minor for Immoral Purposes and was given a term of 22 months in prison. Harris entered treatment while in prison in December of 2003 and completed the program in November of 2004. He also completed coursework in Basic Alternatives to Violence, Advance Alternatives to Violence, Appropriate Relations and attended a Sexual Assault Empathy Seminar. He was released from prison on 2-11-2005 and had resided in Seattle. He is no longer on supervision and now lives in Snohomish County. |
